役割語に関する発表を募集します

イベント名：役割語・キャラクター言語研究国際ワークショップ

期日：2015年2月16日（月）・17日（火）

場所：大阪大学会館（大阪大学豊中キャンパス）

発表の種別： 口頭発表（質疑も合わせて30分）6件程度

 ポスター発表　8件程度

内容：役割語に関する研究。ヴァーチャル方言、キャラクターの言語分析、フィクションやマスメディアにおけるジェンダー言語の分析を含む。

発表言語：日本語または英語（分析の対象となる言語は何語でもかまいません）

旅費の支援について：優れたアブストラクトに対しては、海外で最大5万円、国内で最大1万円程度、旅費を支援します。

応募資格：役割語および関連する領域に関心を持ち、研究の進展に貢献したいと思われる方ならどなたでも応募できます。所属、年齢、国籍等問いません。所属のない方でも一般の方でも受け付けます。

応募方法：以下の書類を整えて、下記アドレス宛、添付書類でお送り下さい。

l アブストラクト：参考文献も含めて、A4またはレターサイズ2枚以内。フォントは10〜12ポイント。論証方法、結論まで含めて示すこと。

l 著者情報：アブストラクトとは別のページに、以下の情報をすべて書いて添付して下さい。
・（発表者全員の）氏名、所属、事務局との連絡に使用するメールアドレス
・著者の業績、研究歴（簡単に）
・口頭発表・ポスター発表の別：「口頭発表のみ」「ポスター発表のみ」「口頭発表またはポスター発表のどちらでもよい」の3種から選択して下さい。
・旅費支援の有無：「旅費支援不要」「支援を希望するが無くても発表したい」「支援が無ければ発表しない」の3つから選択して下さい。

スケジュール：発表の応募の締め切りは2014年10月31日午後12時（31日の深夜のことです。日本時間です）。

 2014年11月中に採否をお伝えします。

Accepting applications for presentations on role language

Event name: International workshop for role language and character research

Date: 16th to 17th February, 2015 (Monday and Tuesday)

Location: Osaka University Hall (Osaka University Toyonaka Campus)

Presentation format: Around 6 oral presentations (30 minutes including questions), around 8 poster presentations

Presentation subject: Research related to role language. This includes research on virtual dialects, analysis of character language, as well as analysis of gendered language in fiction and media

Presentation language: Japanese or English (as for research subject, any language is welcome)

Regarding travel costs: Travel support up to 50.000 JPY for travel from outside of Japan, or 10.000 JPY for travel from within Japan, will be given to presenters of distinguished abstracts.

Applicant qualifications: Anyone with an interest in role language or relevant fields wishing to contribute to the progress of research in these fields are welcome to apply. Applicants of all ages, nationalities and professions are welcome. Applications from independent researchers and laymen will also be accepted.

Application procedure: Prepare the below documents and send digitally to the e-mail address found at the bottom.

· Abstract: No more than two A4 pages, including references. The font size should be 10pt to 12pt. Include research method and conclusion.

· Author information: on a page different from the abstract, write the following information:

◦ Name and profession of all applicants

◦ E-mail address to be used for contact

◦ Brief summary of the applicant's past research history, including publications and presentations

◦ Indicate the presentation format desired: choose between "oral presentation only", "poster presentation only" or "any format is fine"

◦ Indicate your stance in regards to travel support: choose between "I do not need travel support", "I wish to receive travel support, but want to participate even without it", and "I cannot participate without travel support"

Schedule: The deadline for application is midnight Japanese time (12:00) on the 31st October, 2014.

Application results will be sent to applicants in November.
